Sulfuric Acid – (H₂SO₄)

Hydrochloric Acid ($\text{HCl}$) is a clear, colorless to pale yellow, highly pungent, and fuming strong mineral acid. It is an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride gas ($\text{HCl}$), which completely dissociates in water, making it extremely acidic and highly corrosive. $\text{HCl}$ is vital in numerous applications, including steel pickling (removing rust and scale), ore processing$\text{pH}$ control in industrial processes, and the production of vinyl chloride for PVC plastics. It is also a key component of stomach acid, demonstrating its biological significance. Handle with extreme care due to its corrosive nature and irritating fumes.

Product Description

Hydrochloric Acid ($\text{HCl}$) is one of the six common strong mineral acids. It is a solution formed by dissolving the colorless, highly corrosive gas hydrogen chloride ($\text{HCl}$) in water. Commercial concentrations typically range from $28\%$ to $38\%$. Concentrated solutions release noticeable, irritating white fumes, which are aerosols of $\text{HCl}$ and water vapor. $\text{HCl}$ is commercially available as a by-product of many chlorination reactions in the chemical industry or can be synthesized directly by burning hydrogen gas in chlorine gas.
